AUTHOR’S NOTE: It is with great sadness we report
that Cody passed away on April 5, 2005. He was in remission for over three years and we are thankful for the extra time we
had with him. He was happy and energetic for most of that time. But our vet recently discovered new tumors on his spleen
and lungs that were not treatable. He went quickly and without a lot of pain. We miss Cody very much.
We’d like to
give special thanks to Dr. Sharon Klintworth and Dr. Linda Fineman, two of the most skilled and caring vets we’ve ever met.
We’d also like to thank all the staff members at the VMC in Atascadero and Pacific Vet Specialists in Santa Cruz for all
the excellent care and kindness they have shown us over the years.
