It’s been two years since my treatment started and I feel really good. Dr. Fineman says I’m still in remission and I can stop the chemotherapy altogether. To be honest, I won’t miss the treatments, but I will miss seeing everyone at the VMC in Atascadero every month, and the people at Pacific Vet in Santa Cruz, too. I sure like all those people. One of them calls me the “miracle dog.” But I think they’re the reason I’m still alive.

I heard that some other dogs with cancer haven’t been so lucky with chemotherapy. We found out that most don’t survive as long as two years after diagnosis. I’m glad I didn’t know that before we started.

Dr. Klintworth and Dr. Fineman said the lymphoma usually comes back after a while, so we should be ready for that. But to tell you the truth, I’m not going to worry about it. I’m just glad I had a chance to be with everyone in my family for the last two years. That’s the best part.
